This is the Pompano Perspectives Transparency Hub — a collection of public records, FOIA request files, and related documents I’ve obtained as your City Commissioner. It’s designed so residents can see the exact information I see, no filters.
All files are official public records, obtained through the City of Pompano Beach’s public records request process or through other lawful channels. Nothing is “leaked” - it’s information every resident has a right to access.
New documents are uploaded as they arrive and as time permits - expect monthly or periodically, depending on how requests are fulfilled.
Because transparency and truth matter. Everyone deserves clear access to what’s happening in our city so we can have informed community discussions.
No. Pompano Perspectives is an independent transparency initiative established by Commissioner Audrey Fesik. It may be supported or maintained by designated contributors, but it is not an official City site. All files here are public records - already accessible to residents - just consolidated for your convenience
Yes - these are public records. Residents are encouraged to review, share, and discuss the information so our community can make decisions based on facts.
Yes. Everything here is an official public record released under Florida’s Public Records and Sunshine laws (Ch. 119 & 286, F.S.). These materials are in the public domain and legally shareable. Because they originate from public spaces and processes, there is no expectation of privacy, even if individuals appear in them.
Note: The FOIA files here are public records and may be freely shared. All original content—like commentary, podcasts, and layout—is copyright protected. For details, see our Terms & Disclaimer page.
Many documents are shared as PDF files. PDFs can be opened with a PDF Reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader (free download) or your browser’s built-in viewer.
These large files may not preview properly in Google Drive - try downloading and opening it directly with your PDF reader. You may have to unzip the file.
Some public records are provided in a proprietary format that requires the Genetec Video Player software. Unfortunately, this program is not very Mac-friendly and may not always run smoothly on Apple devices.
If you’re using Windows, you can usually download and install the Genetec Video Player (included in the video folder or available from the vendor’s site). Once installed, you should be able to open and view the footage.
The Genetec player does not run natively on macOS. Some residents use alternatives like:
Borrowing a Windows PC for playback
Running Windows on a Mac through Boot Camp, Parallels, or another virtual machine
Requesting that the City provide a viewable format, since public records should be reasonably accessible to all residents.
Yes. Public records law requires that documents and media be provided in a usable form. If you’re unable to view a Genetec video on your device, you can ask the City Clerk’s Office to provide the video in a standard format (such as MP4) or to arrange viewing at City Hall.
Absolutely. This site is about making information accessible for the whole community, and your records are part of that story.
