Filed April 1, 2026
In April 2026, I submitted a formal Incident Review Request to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections regarding City of Pompano Beach "Charter Information Boards" that were displayed inside two early voting locations during the November 2024 election. The submission requests an independent review of whether the placement of the City-produced materials complied with Florida election laws and polling place restrictions, including the 150-foot no-solicitation/no-electioneering zone.
The packet documents the timeline of events, photographs of the displays inside the voting facilities, correspondence among City officials, communications with the Florida Department of State, and the subsequent directive to remove the boards from the early voting locations. It also requests a written determination, preservation of relevant records, and guidance to help ensure similar situations do not occur in future elections.
Election integrity depends not only on fair elections, but also on public confidence that voting locations remain neutral and free from materials that could influence or appear to influence voters. This filing reflects my commitment to transparency, accountability, and protecting the integrity of our electoral process for every voter in Pompano Beach.
